STEP 1 - GWC Application.  Everyone who is interested in taking classes at Golden West College must first submit an application to the Admissions Office. Applications can be obtained from the Admissions & Records Office by calling (714) 895-8306 or by following this link: Application to Apply

STEP 2 - ACE New Student Packet.  New student Packet can be found here: New Student Packet.

STEP 3 - Math & English Placement Tests (SOAR).  A testing appointment can be made by calling the Assessment Center at 714-895-8388. If you need special accommodations to take the test, please contact 714-895-8721, and schedule your appointment through ACE.  Please request special accommodations when making your appointment.

STEP 4 - ACE Online Orientation.  All new ACE students are required to complete the ACE New Student Orientation online.

STEP 5 - Make an appointment with an ACE counselor. The counselor will provide the student with information about the college, academic matriculation and classes, transfer and degree requirements, vocational programs, student services, and accommodations, as well as develop the Student Educational Contract (SEC). Please call 714-895-8721 to schedule an appointment. Eligibility for services will be determined based on Disability Verification. Please bring to your counseling appointment: (1) Photo ID and (2) completed New Student Packet, including Disability Verification.*

(*IMPORTANT: If you have not yet submitted or do not bring your completed New Student Packet, including your Disability Verification, to the appointment, you will have to reschedule the appointment.  Please be prepared with your paperwork so that you do not delay your request for services.)
