Internships
SCRTTC
GWC has a partnership with Southern California Regional Transit Training Consortium (SCRTTC), an organization that trains technicians for the transit industry. We have taught classes to bus mechanics and have had the opportunity for our students to work as paid interns at some very prestigious bus and fleet yards:
- Long Beach Transit
- Orange County Transit Authority
- City Huntington Beach
- City of Long Beach
OCADA
GWC students have opportunities for paid internships with Orange County Automotive Dealers Association (OCADA).
During Summer 2008, students worked as paid interns for Connell Chevrolet and South Coast Toyota and at the end of their term, the dealers awarded the interns a scholarship ranging from $500 to $1500.00 to go back to school.
