WHAT IS FLORAL DESIGN?

Floral design is described as creating pleasing decorative arrangements, e.g. a beautiful bouquet or floral art design with any type of flowers or foliages. Today’s florist is a skilled floral designer who interprets the customer’s requirements into floral designs for all occasions.  Floral designers cut and arrange live, dried, or artificial flowers and foliage into designs. They trim flowers and arrange bouquets, sprays, wreaths, dish gardens, and terrariums.

They have to make new and different designs each day.  They work with numerous combinations of different flowers, constantly synthesizing and developing new creations.  The modern florist seeks challenge and thrives on originality.
