Program 2
Basic (P.O.S.T.) Courses:
These “Academy” type courses represent instruction ranging in lengths of 3 to 24 weeks and are P.O.S.T. certified basic courses mandated for specialized employment in California Law Enforcement.

Students in this program have the opportunity to:

  • Complete the P.O.S.T. Regular Basic Course (RBC or Police Academy) meeting the basic training mandate for employment as a Peace Officer in the State of California.

  • Complete the P.O.S.T. Specialized Investigator’s Basic Course (SIBC or Specialized Investigator Academy) meeting the basic training mandate for employment as a Specialized Peace Officer Charged with specialized investigations for many agencies (e.g., ABC, DMV or county Welfare Fraud Units, etc.) in the State of California.

  • Complete the P.O.S.T. Public Safety Dispatch Course, meeting the basic training mandates for employment as a police service (9-1-1) dispatcher in the State of California.
