Caribbean & Latin Dance, Beginning

Welcome to the beautiful world of Caribbean and Latin dances. In this workshop you will learn the basic steps of Merengue from the Dominican Republic, Salsa and Cha-Cha-Cha from Cuba, Cumbias from Colombia, Bachata, and other Latin dances. Join us for this opportunity to learn to dance and enjoy the different Caribbean and Latin dances. Individual attention will be given to each participant.

Caribbean & Latin Dance, Intermediate

This program is for the participant who has some knowledge of the basic steps of Merengue, Cha-Cha-Cha, Salsa, Cumbia, Bachata, and other Latin dances. You will learn routines, spin, wraps, and turns.  Individual attention will be given to each participant.

The “hot” Latin dance that will keep you moving. Emphasis will be on the popular Salsa danced in the Latin clubs. Learn the basics plus variations of this fast-paced dance and look great on the dance floor.

Argentine Tango

Learn the popular Argentine style tango danced in the clubs of Buenos Aires. This stimulating and energetic dance has become very popular in the U.S. and around the world. You will learn basic techniques and patterns to this unique style of dance. This workshop is beginner level.

West Coast Swing

West Coast Swing has glamour and vitality that lets you express your personality. In this California State dance, learn the best of swing and the feel of the music with basic step patterns with lead/follow, variations, and styling. Dance swing any place to popular, blues, big band, Country-Western, or traditional music. West Coast continues to be a favorite of both social and competitive dancers.

Explore the dance and rhythms of the Near and Middle East as you develop the techniques of the “Fine Art of Belly Dancing.” Learn beautiful arm and hand techniques, fluid body movements, belly rolls, and proper use of finger cymbals and veil.

Presenter: Tonya Chianis - Is Southern California's most well-known “multi” award-winning teacher, performer, choreographer and promoter. She is co-producer of the Belly Dancer of the Universe competition and has received the IAMED Teacher of the Year Award. She is a two-time recipient of the Middle Eastern Culture and Dance Association Hall of Fame Award.


Basic Ballroom Dance

Learn a new hobby while improving your social graces with an introduction to Ballroom dancing. This program will teach you the most popular Ballroom dances including the Waltz, Foxtrot, Cha Cha and Rumba. Put on your dancing shoes and join us for a wonderful experience. No partner is required, we rotate dance partners.

Wedding “First Dance”

Preparation Workshop

It is customary for every bride and groom to dance a “first dance” at their wedding, but very few do so comfortably.  In this workshop you and your fiancĂ© will learn the elements that will help you look good and feel great while dancing together in front of all your guests.  If you want to avoid the “Deer-in-the-Headlights” look, don’t miss this workshop. Couples only, no rotation of partners.
