Program Requirements


To participate in the Cooperative Work Experience Program, students must meet the following requirements:
  1. Be currently employed or volunteering in a position that is directly related to your major or career goal (Work Experience does not provide employment)
  2. Be currently enrolled in Cooperative Work Experience
  3. Be currently enrolled in a minimum of 7 units (including your CWE units)
  4. Working the minimum number of hours required by your enrolled units at your job
  5. Attend a 1-hour student orientation at the beginning of their enrolled session*

*Returning students – If you have previously attended a CWE student orientation at GWC, you do not need to attend another one.  However, you still must fill out the required paperwork with the program office to participate.
