Golden West College Science Quest

The Golden West Science Quest is a fun and exciting summer science camp offered to students entering 4th through 8th grade. This week long camp will have morning workshops for younger campers and afternoon workshops for older campers, with hands-on experiments and activities that are designed for each group. Each day is focused on a unique science topic in Chemistry, Ecology and Environmental Biology, Anatomy, Physics, Geology, Astronomy, and Mathematics! This Camp is sure to engage young minds and enhance understanding of many scientific topics. All students the event will receive a t-shirt and a certificate of completion.

Monday-Friday August 7-11, 2017
Grades 4-5: 9am-12pm with check-in at 8:45am
Grades 6-8: 1pm-4pm with check-in at 12:45pm

Presenters: The courses are run by Golden West College faculty excited to share their love of science with the future scientists of tomorrow. Kay Dutz and Stephanie Nobles are Chemistry instructors, Travis Vail and Stephanie Tanio teach Biology, John Hobgood and Gita Alemansour are instructors of Physics and Math, Andrea Citati teaches Astronomy, while Bud Benneman specializes in Geology.


A limited number of scholarships will be available for students that qualify for free/reduced lunch at their school. When enrolling, please check the box if your child qualifies. Additional documentation may be required.
