Meet Karen Hinton

Karen Hinton has been working at GWC since December 1979, shortly after graduating from CSULB with her B.A. degree in Elementary Education. She returned back to college to complete her M.A. degree in Counseling from Loyola Marymount University and a Certificate in Drug and Alcohol Studies from UCI. In 1991, Karen got her dream job of Counseling and teaching at GWC. When the opportunity presented itself, she got assigned to work with International students. What a happy day to finally work with such wonderful people and students! She has traveled extensively to Canada, Mexico, France, England, Scotland, Wales, and most recently to Japan. Working with students from different cultural backgrounds has enriched her life and she feels it has made her a more effective Counselor. |
