Measure M Construction Update:

Student Services Project:  Concrete pour for north canopy footings is scheduled for Monday 4/3.  Welding for metal deck ongoing with erection of canopy.  Delivery of steel and scaffolding is scheduled for this week with trucks entering thru the main construction access road.  The main construction access road is the road between the Native Garden and Auto Tech all the way to Cosmetology. Delivery of concrete pump and miscellaneous material is scheduled the week of 4/3 with trucks entering thru the access road between Kaplan and Amphitheater.  Please exercise caution around the construction equipment as they enter the campus and follow directions from the flagmen.  Noise levels will be moderate due to large equipment for these activities.

Criminal Justice Project:  Welding, framing, and roof screen installation ongoing.  Please be careful not to look at the welding arc.  Form work for concrete slab on grade will start this week.  Ongoing deliveries of miscellaneous material scheduled.  Pedestrians and Drivers need to follow closure signs and be cautious as they travel around the construction site.  Noise levels will be moderate due to the large equipment for these activities.  Fencing for the dirt lot adjacent to Parking Lot G has been installed.   The dirt lot will be closed for any public parking until the project is complete.  The access road will remain open for the majority of the construction project with short periods of closure for work on the road.  Phase 1 of trenching outside project site for underground utilities is scheduled to be  completed by April 2.  Specific start dates will be provided in the future for Phase 2 trenching after further coordination. Math/Science Project:  DSA approved building plans is anticipated to be issued 3/21/17.  Bid date tentatively scheduled for 4/20.   Please note that the parking lot sidewalk west of the project is closed for the duration of the project.  A temporary pedestrian walkway has been created in the parking lot to accommodate all pedestrian traffic through this area.

Security Project:  Physical installation of cameras, emergency phone, access control antennas, and emergency phone towers are completed.  Ongoing inspections of project scope of work and closeout  turnover.
