Measure M Construction Update:

Student Services Project:  Monday 5/1 the crane will mobilize and enter the campus through the main construction access road early in the morning.  Concrete pour for roof deck is scheduled Monday 5/1 and Tuesday 5/2.  Delivery of concrete trucks is scheduled with trucks entering thru the main construction access road.   Steel delivery for canopy and bridge is scheduled the week of 5/1 with trucks entering thru the main construction access road.  The main construction access road is the road between the Native Garden and Auto Tech all the way to Cosmetology.   Miscellaneous material and deliveries is scheduled the week of 5/1 with trucks entering thru the access road between Kaplan and Amphitheater.  Please exercise caution around the construction equipment as they enter the campus and follow directions from the flagmen.  Noise levels will be moderate due to large equipment for these activities.  Summer work schedule will begin May 30th which entails: Pedestrian walkway along Cosmetology and Student Service project site will be temporary closed for placement of new sidewalk.  East stairway to access 2nd floor Music will be closed the duration of summer for removal/replacement of new stairs and sidewalk.  Pavement repair work along access road between Kaplan/Amphitheater and access road between the Bookstore/Humanities is scheduled to ensure path of travel is ADA compliant. Criminal Justice Project:  Scaffolding erection ongoing.  Concrete pour for HVAC unit roof pad is scheduled this week.  Ongoing exterior metal stud installation.  Ongoing deliveries of miscellaneous material scheduled.  Pedestrians and Drivers need to follow closure signs and be cautious as they travel around the construction site.  Noise levels will be moderate due to the large equipment for these activities.  Fencing for the dirt lot adjacent to Parking Lot G has been installed.   The dirt lot will be closed for any public parking until the project is complete.  The access road will remain open for the majority of the construction project with short periods of closure for work on the road. Phase 1 of trenching outside project site for underground utilities is completed.  Specific start dates will be provided in the future for Phase 2 trenching after further coordination.  See attached Electrical Feed work plan.  Week of May 1st fencing for the dirt lot adjacent to Parking Lot G will be moved and encroach on traffic lane to begin grading for pull over lane. Math/Science Project:  Groundbreaking Ceremony is scheduled for 11am on Thursday 5/4.  DSA approved building plans were issued on 3/21/17.  Bid date scheduled for 5/25/17.  Notice to proceed to contractors scheduled for 6/22/17.  Please note that the parking lot sidewalk west of the project is closed for the duration of the project.  A temporary pedestrian walkway has been created in the parking lot to accommodate all pedestrian traffic through this area.  Groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled 5/4/17 11 am

Security Project:  Physical installation of cameras, emergency phone, access control antennas, and emergency phone towers are completed.  Ongoing inspections of project scope of work and closeout  turnover.
