Measure M Construction Update:

Student Services Project:  Start grading site at north end of building.  Ongoing lay out of exterior terra cotta.  Ongoing of insulating interior and exterior walls.  Ongoing installation of exterior windows and flashings around doors and windows.  Ongoing 2nd floor rough end of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing installation.  Ongoing interior installation drywall.  Ongoing installation of roof and elevator.  Prepare to relocate construction fence to reopen stairway at music building and sidewalk along Cosmetology building.  Miscellaneous deliveries will be made on the main construction access road, which may cause congestion.  The main construction access road is the road between the Native Garden and Auto Tech all the way to Cosmetology.   Please exercise caution around the construction equipment as they enter the campus, and follow directions from the flagmen.  Noise levels will be moderate due to large equipment for these activities.  Summer work schedule began May 30th which entails: Pedestrian walkway along Cosmetology and Student Service project site will reopen Friday 8/11.  East stairway to access 2ndfloor Music is scheduled to reopen the week of 8/14.  Pavement repair work along access road between Kaplan/Amphitheater and access road between the Bookstore/Humanities is scheduled to ensure path of travel is ADA compliant (See attached GWC map).

Criminal Justice Project:  Concrete pour scheduled Monday 8/14 for curb and gutter at pull over lane.  Ongoing exterior stucco operation at the NE corner.  Ongoing installation of interior drywall.  Ongoing site utility connections.  Ongoing rough end of 2nd floor Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing installation.  Ongoing fine grading for curbs and sidewalk at south access road and paving; paving of the access road is expected to begin Thursday 8/17.  Ongoing installation of underground utilities at Scenario Lab.  Ongoing deliveries of miscellaneous material scheduled.  Pedestrians and Drivers need to follow closure signs and be cautious as they travel around the construction site.  Noise levels will be moderate due to the large equipment for these activities.  Fencing for the dirt lot adjacent to Parking Lot G has been installed.   The dirt lot will be closed for any public parking until the project is complete.  Parking Lot H and Parking Lot I are open for vehicle parking; watch for deliveries.  The drive isle near Kaplan will remain closed this week to install underground water main; paving is scheduled Thursday 8/17 (See attached GWC Map for site impact).  The access road between Theater and Criminal Justice project site will remain closed for underground utility connections and site hardscape work for ADA walkway improvement; restoration will begin Thursday 8/17 (See attached GWC Map for site impact, walkway closures, traffic lane closures and pedestrian access).  Beginning 8/7/17, the traffic lane along the dirt lot in Parking Lot G will be closed periodically for truck deliveries/traffic into the dirt lot area for grading and pavement of the pull over lane.  The access road between parking lots G and H will be closed full time 7 days a week starting Monday 6/5/17 and reopened possibly by 8/18/17 (See attached GWC map).

Math/Science Project:  Ongoing pile drilling operations consisting of large equipment, including Drilling Rigs.   Noise level expected to be moderate due to large equipment for these activities.  Please be cautious of construction traffic and follow safety directions from workers directing traffic.  Please note that the parking lot sidewalk west of the project is closed for the duration of the project.  A temporary pedestrian walkway has been created in the parking lot to accommodate all pedestrian traffic through this area.
