Student Services Project: Ongoing outdoor plaster finish application. Finishing details on exterior windows. Grading at the south and east of the project. Placing of concrete for sidewalks at the project. Ongoing installation of interior windows and glass. Ongoing installation of the acoustical grid and overhead electrical. Continuing installation of ceramic tile in restrooms. Begin flooring installation. Testing startup of HVAC equipment. Miscellaneous deliveries will be made on the main construction access road, which may cause congestion. The main construction access road is the road between the Native Garden and Auto Tech all the way to Cosmetology. Please exercise caution around the construction equipment as they enter the campus, and follow directions from the flagmen. Noise levels will be moderate due to large equipment for these activities. (See attached GWC map [PDF] for Construction Vehicle Routes)
Criminal Justice Project: Interior finishing of walls and ceilings. Ongoing construction activity at Scenario Lab. Ongoing site grading, flatwork and landscaping. On Tuesday, there will be concrete pours along the north and south-east areas of the project, causing temporary closures of the Access Road between the Theater and the north side of the project, as well as the South Access Road. Please observe road closures (See attached GWC map [PDF]). The Pull Over Lane remains closed for public parking until further notice. Pedestrians and Drivers need to follow closure signs and exercise caution as they travel around the construction site. Noise levels will be moderate due to the large equipment for these activities. The south access road between Parking Lots G and H will be closed intermittently due to construction activity- please exercise caution and drive slowly on the access road as it is narrow and difficult to see oncoming traffic. The traffic lane along the fenced Pull Over Lane in Parking Lot G will be closed periodically for truck deliveries and traffic into the Pull Over Lane area, and for construction vehicles en route to the Scenario Lab. (See attached GWC map [PDF] for areas subject to periodic closure, and Construction Vehicle Routes)
Math/Science Project: Breakdown and removal of drilling rigs and cranes. Ongoing maintenance grading and dirt export/import at the site. Beginning backhoe trenching and backfill activity for underground utilities. Noise level expected to be moderate due to large equipment for these activities. Please be cautious of construction traffic and follow safety directions from workers directing traffic. The sidewalk west of the project is closed for the duration of the project. A temporary pedestrian walkway has been created in Parking Lots C and D to accommodate all pedestrian traffic through this area. (See attached GWC map for pedestrian walkway and Construction Vehicle Routes)
