They Danced all Night....the GWC Gala

Guests at the 13th annual Gala, held at the beautiful Hilton Waterfront Beach Resort, danced the night away to the rocking beat of Wayne Foster Entertainment while raising funds for Golden West College. Gala Chair, Dr. Emilee Young, stated, “I wish to thank the Gala Committee, the Foundation Board of Directors, and the student volunteers for their work at Gala 2010. This year’s event grossed over $156,000. We also wish to give a special thanks to the event’s title sponsor, Elmore Toyota, for their continuing support and generous donation of the Prius.”

Proceeds from the event support student scholarships and campus projects that directly benefit students.

AND THE WINNER OF THE TOYOTA PRIUS IS…
Larry Belinn had the winning ticket which was drawn by GWC Homecoming King, Sumair Devani for the 2010 Toyota Prius IV with Solar Roof donated by Elmore Toyota. Larry is a retired Golden West College accounting professor and was thrilled to get the phone call from David McHowell, General Manager of Elmore Toyota. He was amazed that he won, saying, “The only thing I have ever won in my life is a box of See’s Candies!”
