The following is a list of frequently asked questions for your convenience.
Paycheck Distribution Information
Instructors & Educational Administrators - Receive paychecks on the last business day of each month in which they work.
Classified Staff, Confidential Staff, and Classified Managers - Receive paychecks on the 10th and 25th of each month.
Hourly, Student Assistants, and Professional Experts – Receive paychecks on the 10th of each month for which a timecard has been submitted into that payroll cycle (or as defined in the payment agreement terms for the Professional Expert).
Should payday fall on a weekend or holiday, checks are distributed on the preceding work day. Sealed payroll checks for classified, confidential, and management staff are placed in campus mailboxes by 11:00 a.m. on payday.
Hourly employees may pick up their checks after 11:00 a.m. from the Personnel Services Office.

Those who wish to have their paycheck mailed may provide self-addressed, stamped envelopes to the Personnel Services Office. If you receive direct deposit, your pay stub can be viewed online at https://eis.ocde.us/.
What is the 160 Day rule? Persons employed in temporary, non-classified hourly positions may not work more than 159 days per Fiscal year. There are No Exceptions to this provision.
Where do I get my timecard? Timecards will be provided to you by your supervisor when you report to work. At the end of each timecard period, please be sure to complete and sign your timecard and turn it in to your supervisor.
What is the Pay Period for non-classified hourly employees? The pay period begins the 10th of each month and ends the 9th of the following month. Timecards are due in Personnel Services on the 10th for payment on the 10th of the following month.

What is the PARS deduction on my paycheck? Federal law requires every eligible employee be enrolled in a retirement program (student employees are exempt). Public Agency Retirement System (PARS) is the program selected by CCCD for employees not currently enrolled in PERS or STRS. A 6.2% deduction will be made on all earnings each payroll period. Your employer also contributes to your fund.
