New Hire Process
Personnel Services provides group orientation sessions, which are designed to assist new
hourly employees in filling out the necessary paperwork required for employment. To
comply with INS regulations, new employees should attend an orientation before they
begin work.
New employees will need to bring the below listed forms of identification/paperwork in
order to fill out the appropriate "new hire" forms:
- A signed Social Security card. (Note: For all employment documents,
the employee's name must be signed exactly as it is printed on the Social
Security card.) - A current photo I.D.
- A Social Security number and address of their designated beneficiary. The
beneficiary must be 18 years of age or older. - I.N.S. documentation, if applicable, (i.e. green card, work authorization, ( I-20)
- A brief work history to complete an application.
An appointment is not required for the group orientation sessions and there is no limit to
the number of employees per session. The orientations will be held in Humanities 101.
New employees should plan to arrive five minutes before the actual orientation time to
ensure a prompt start.
Those employees arriving after the start time will have to reschedule their orientation
session for the next available time and date. If your employee is unable to attend any of
the currently scheduled sessions, please call 714-895-8100 to make other
arrangements.
