Electronic Time Sheet Entry
Timesheets are available for you to complete anytime and anywhere you have internet access via myCoast!
Before you enter your first time sheet online, please watch the brief instructional video available on our District website at http://www.cccd.edu/voyager/training/humanResources.aspx.
This will provide you with an overview of the log-in, data entry, and submission procedures. Wallet instruction cards are also available through your Division or Department Office or in Personnel Services, as a quick reference guide for you to keep after you have watched the instructional video. If you have not accessed your myCoast account in the past, you may log-in at the following address: http://mycoast.cccd.edu. Your default user name will be your fist initial and last name; and your default password will be your six digit birthday (MM/DD/YY). You will be prompted to change your password during your initial session in the system. If you have logged in to myCoast in the past, but have forgotten your password, please contact Diane DePretto in Personnel Services at (714) 895-8126, extension 58126, or via email at ddepretto@gwc.cccd.edu to have your password reset.

A few important reminders for entering your time sheet online:
- If you have multiple assignments, please check with your Division or Department Office to ensure you are entering your time against the correct assignment(s). This will help to ensure there are not delays in processing your time sheet.
- You may enter time on your time sheet daily, weekly, or at the end of the month; however Personnel Services recommends that you enter your time on a daily basis to ensure accuracy of reporting.
- For each time entry you make to your time sheet, please remember to click “Save” before exiting the system to ensure that your time is recorded.
- Time sheets are to be submitted for approval to your manager on the last day of the payroll cycle. If you do not submit your timesheet, it will not be sent for payment in that payroll cycle.
Time Sheet Entry Instructions
- From https://mycoast.cccd.edu enter your name and password.
- Click EMPLOYEE tab, then BANNER SELF SERVICE, then EMPLOYEE, then TIME SHEET.
- Select radio button for the correct job. Click TIME SHEET button.
- Find the day/date you worked, click ENTER HOURS (click NEXT to see the other days in the pay period).
- Type in your TIME IN and select AM or PM, then type in your TIME OUT and select AM or PM. Don’t forget to enter your lunch break, then click SAVE. Click EXIT to close.
6. At the end of the payroll period, verify time is correct and click SUBMIT FOR APPROVAL (to get paid).
