On behalf of the Golden West College Public Safety Department, I would like to welcome you to the Department's website. The members of the Department are committed to providing the highest quality in public safety services and ensuring a safe and secure learning environment for the entire Golden West College community. The website was designed to provide you with a source for public safety information and services available to the GWC campus community.
Whether you are a student, employee or simply a visitor to the campus, the Department of Public Safety would like to welcome you to Golden West College. It is the mission of the Department to provide a safe and secure environment for the campus community 24/7, 365 days a year. Our Department is staffed by dedicated, well trained and professional Campus Safety Officers who are here to assist you. Our office is staffed Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and is located at the north end of the Health Science Building (11).
The Department of Public Safety offers a variety of services to our students and guests. Our officers are available 24/7 to receive reports of suspicious activities and to take requests for services such as safety escorts, room lock-out assistance and vehicle jump-starts. Public Safety Officers are also responsible for the parking and traffic enforcement on campus in addition to the initial investigation and documentation of campus incidents.
Our officers and support staff are here to assist you and answer any questions that you may have. I am proud to work with so many dedicated professionals whose primary function is to ensure a safe campus for you.
