Envrionmental PhotoWelcome to the Recycling and Resource Management (RRM) Program

A Community-Based Jobs Training Program

The Recycling and Resource Management (RRM) Program at Golden West College is designed to provide formal training for individuals interested in working in the green jobs sector.

As more cities and businesses develop sustainability and zero-waste policies, there is an increased need for trained staff that can properly manage organizational resources and initiate programs. This training program will provide students with the resources they need to compete in the green jobs marketplace.

The training emphasizes the benefits waste diversion strategies offer cultural, community, and business processes.  Comprehension of the relationship between waste generation and alternative strategies will provide a framework for Zero-Waste program implementation; offering students the opportunity to design and implement Zero-Waste Plans and oversee waste reduction and resource management programs in multiple venues.
