Welcome to the Tutorial and Learning Center
The Tutorial and Learning Center provides a variety of diverse tutorial options to meet the needs of Golden West College students and the surrounding community. Academic support is available to all GWC students in the classes for which they are currently enrolled. The Tutorial and Learning Center provides the following services:
- Group tutorials
- Drop-in tutoring
- Individual appointments
- Online tutoring
- Community tutoring
- Supplemental Instruction Aide (SIA)
All tutors and/or facilitators are recommended by GWC instructors, interviewed, and are required to complete training for employment. Additional support services include: review sessions before major exams, study skills videos, and self-help pamphlets and literature. The Tutorial and Learning Center is located in the Learning Resource Center, first floor Room 129.
