Many of us remember the dreadful days of chemistry, biology and, dare I say it, physics! Well, the Rotary Club of Huntington Beach and Golden West College have teamed to try to not only demystify science but to maybe, just maybe – help kids like it.

For the ninth consecutive year, Huntington Beach Rotary and GWC will host Science Showtime, a free event that is open to the public to get grade-school kids (and their families) interested in science with the hopes that someday those impressionable minds will consider careers using math and science. And this is definitely no boring textbook snooze-fest.

Guests will have access to  interactive exhibits, including attractions such as collecting DNA, make slime to take home, take a handwashing challenge, use a microscope, control a robot, read to a dog, look at your own cells, turn pennies into silver and gold, generate electricity, play math bingo, physics fun, create colored fire, see fluorescent minerals, play with our creepy crawlers, touch a skeleton, learn about your bones, plus much more…..
