- Online: 15 days before Election Day
- By Mail: Postmarked 15 days before Election Day
- In Person: 15 days before Election Day. You can also “conditionally” register and vote at your county elections office after the 15-day voter registration deadline.
November 3, 2020 — General Election:
October 24, 2020 — Select Vote Centers open
October 27, 2020 — California Vote-By-Mail Ballot Application must arrive
October 31, 2020 — Additional Vote Centers open
November 3, 2020 — Personally delivered ballots must be delivered by close of polls
November 3, 2020 — Mailed ballots must be postmarked on or before Nov. 3, and received by your county elections office no later than November 6, 2020

Non-Payment Drop Policy
Non-Payment Drop Schedule: Fall 2020
July 16, 2020 (Thursday) at 2:00 PM: For Registration between June 15 and June 28
July 23, 2020 (Thursday) at 2:00 PM: For Registration between June 29 and July 12
July 30, 2020 (Thursday) at 2:00 PM: For Registration between July 13 and July 19
August 6, 2020 (Thursday) at 2:00 PM: For Registration between July 20 and July 26
August 13, 2020 (Thursday) at 2:00 PM: For Registration between July 27 and August 9
August 20, 2020 (Thursday) at 2:00 PM: For Registration between August 10 and August 16
August 21, 2020 (Friday) at 2:00 PM: For Registration between August 17 and August 20
Any registration that occurs on August 21 or later will not be dropped for non-payment. Students that enroll are responsible for paying their fees or withdrawing from classes prior to the refund deadline to cancel fees.
Golden West College is happy to announce two payment plan options:
Late Payment Agreement:
Golden West College is excited to offer our Fall 2020 Late Payment Agreement. Students must apply for the FASFA or California Dream Act and then complete the Late Payment Agreement Contract. This will extend your deadline to pay to October 1, 2020. You must sign up for the late payment agreement no later than 12:00 noon the day of the drop for non-payment.
Cashnet Payment Plan:
Have you registered for courses, owe over $150, and need a payment plan for your current term? Please visit the Cashnet Payment Portal. You must enroll in the plan no later than 12:00 noon on the day of the drop for non-payment.

Deadlines for refunds, fee cancellations, registration, and withdrawals are different for each course.
For specific course deadlines, please refer to one of the following:
Student Class Program/Web Schedule Bill (Available via MyGWC)
Short term classes (any course other than 16wk which would include Winter Intersession Courses and Summer Courses)
- 10% of the course – Last day to drop for a refund
- 20% of the course – Last day to drop and not receive a “W”
- 75% of the course – Last day to drop a course and receive a “W”
Students must officially withdraw from classes either online or in person by the specific deadline for each class. Refer to the Student Class Program/Web Schedule Bill on the Student tab of the MyGWC portal page as drop dates may vary from class to class. It is the student’s responsibility to officially withdraw from classes and to verify all withdrawals by printing the Student Class Program.
For all sessions
- If a holiday falls on Friday, then Saturday and Sunday classes will not meet.
- If a holiday falls on Monday, then Saturday and Sunday classes will meet.
- If a holiday falls on Monday and Friday, Saturday and Sunday classes will not meet.
- Final exams are held during regular class meeting time during the last week of the semester.
College reserves the right to cancel classes. All classes offered are based upon sufficient enrollment to economically warrant them. Classes may be cancelled as a result of low enrollment, State legislation, and financial considerations. When classes are cancelled due to low enrollment, every attempt will be made to help students adjust their academic schedules
