Golden West College Noncredit Senior Healthcare Technician program prepares the student for an entry-level healthcare career profession as a Senior Healthcare Technician. Students will learn the foundational skills needed to provide adequate care to the elderly, seeking long-term therapeutic and personal assistance support upon completing the program.

Demonstrate the personal care and communication skills necessary for working in the patient's home, assisted living senior homes, independent living, and hospice environments.
Identify and analyze key community-level programs and services for older adults, as well as the potential barriers that may preclude utilization.
