Short Term Courses

Courses within this program are for currently employed law enforcement personnel. Some of the courses in this program are P.O.S.T. mandated in-service Advanced Officer Training (AOT), or Continued Professional Training (CPT) and may be assignment specific or for general career growth.

Students in this program have the opportunity to:

  • Satisfy P.O.S.T. skills and knowledge mandates.
  • Meet P.O.S.T. mandated training requirements relative to certain assignments or promotions.
  • Prepare for specialized job assignments.
  • Prepare for promotional opportunities.

Collectively the courses in these three programs validate the mission of the college. They not only provide educational opportunities for new college students but pre-service and in-service students alike. Meeting student needs for career placement, development, and advancement.

In these programs the department performs a valuable service for the student as well as the community. Over the years, the Criminal Justice Training Center has maintained a reputation for excellence in instruction and in meeting the needs of its students as well as the Law Enforcement community, which make up its constituency.
