In 2018, the California Community Colleges Board of Governors declared the Undocumented Student Action Week to be established in the month of October. The resolution notes that the California Community Colleges, which represents the largest undocumented student population in the state, is committed to providing an open and welcoming environment for all students, regardless of ethnicity, religion, national origin, immigration status, age, gender, medical condition or socioeconomic status. The Week of Action is a statewide campaign to advocate for a permanent solution to codify the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program that includes a pathway to citizenship, as well as to provide support and resources to California’s undocumented student population.

Golden West College has been hosting a series of events supporting students during the “Undocumented Student Action Week” since October 2018. Please join us in a week of advocacy to support and build awareness for undocumented students throughout the state
