Construction Update for Week Beginning: 9/20/21

Language Arts Complex - Measure M:
Drilling for deep foundation piles and installation of rebar cages within the construction site will start winding down this week. Construction traffic will continue with large trucks entering and exiting off of Goldenwest Street and moving through Parking Lot C to the construction site via the construction gate between the Math & Science bldg. and the LRC. Please mind flagmen and parking lot barricades, and avoid this area. There is no parking within the barricades. Roads and walkways within the fenced off construction site are not accessible to pedestrian traffic; please use alternate routes to get around Campus.

Outside the construction fence, manholes near the Bookstore, Business Building, and the meadow near the Math & Science bldg will be open intermittently for work on the campus network infrastructure. Take care to avoid open manholes, equipment, and large spools of wire in these areas. Exercise caution around construction vehicles and areas surrounding the construction site. Noise level will be moderate for these activities. (See attached map [PDF] for work areas and construction vehicle routes)

Cosmetology Upgrade - Campus:
Restoration work on the Cosmetology Building upgrade has been completed. Expect Delivery Vehicle traffic in coming weeks for casework and fixtures.
