College Credit Program

HBUHSD College Credit Program Courses

All of the courses listed below have been approved for dual high school and college credit for HBUHSD students. Students who will be enrolled in an HBUHSD high school in the fall can enroll in any of the courses listed below for FREE and receive dual high school and college credit. HBUHSD students who enroll in a course listed below do NOT need to pay any fees or textbook costs. Those will be covered by the HBUHSD district if textbooks are ordered through the GWC Bookstore. HBUHSD students who want to enroll in a course not listed on the table below will receive college credit only, and they will be responsible for the cost of campus fees and any textbooks or supplies.

Don’t wait to sign up! College classes can fill up quickly. High school students can begin registering for GWC courses for the Fall 2021 semester on July 14.

Submit your GWC Application and Concurrent Enrollment Release Form early to be ready to enroll. The application and registration steps for high school students are outlined HERE.

Small Business Entrepreneurship Pathway

Students who complete the Small Business Entrepreneurship Pathway will be awarded a Golden West College certificate and earn 9 college credits that are transferable to California State University (CSU) campuses. Students will also earn HBUHSD high school elective credit. In addition to the two classes listed above, the pathway includes BUS G101 (Mindeset of Business Success) and MKTG G167 (Social Media Marketing) that will be offered in future semesters.

 
All GWC courses will have fully online options this fall that do not conflict with students' high school schedules. Classes will be held in the GWC Canvas Portal (some have live instruction via Zoom).
