Fresh Success Program

Fresh Success is a Cal Fresh employment and training program that encourages participants to gain education and skills that will lead to better employment and a path to financial independence. By providing case management and supportive services beyond food assistance, the Fresh Success Program helps students advance toward their career goals. At GWC, Fresh Success is part of Basic Needs.

Based on various criteria, students can obtain up to $1,000 in eligible basic needs resources this semester to support their success. This includes a monthly internet bill stipend, transportation assistance for in-person courses, reimbursements for minor medical and automobile expenses, childcare stipends, and housing support.

Funding for this project was provided by the United States Department of Agriculture. USDA is an equal opportunity provider, employer, and lender.

The full USDA non-discrimination statement can be found here.
