Construction Update for Week Beginning: 1/17/22

Language Arts Complex - Measure M:
Construction activity continues this week with steel erection, metal decking installation, and deliveries. Steel delivery trucks will continue moving through Parking lot B off of Goldenwest Street and entering campus between the Native Garden and Auto Tech. This route takes them past Cosmetology and the Student Union/Cafeteria, and down Main Street, accessing the construction site through gates near the front of the Bookstore. Exercise extra caution around trucks, minding the flagmen and avoiding these areas. Other construction traffic will continue to enter and exit off of Goldenwest Street and move through the barricaded area in Parking Lot C, accessing the construction site via the construction gate between the Math & Science bldg. and the LRC. Please mind flagmen and parking lot barricades, and avoid this area. There is no parking within the barricades. Roads and walkways within any fenced off construction area are not accessible to pedestrian traffic; please use alternate routes to get around Campus. Exercise caution around construction vehicles and areas surrounding the construction site. Noise level will be moderate for these activities. (See attached map [PDF] for work areas and construction vehicle routes)

LRC Ductwork Replacement - Campus:
Ductwork in the LRC continues this week. The building remains closed at this time. No parking lots will be affected by construction vehicle activity.

KOCE Admin Building Abatement - Campus:
Abatement continues this week in preparation for the demolition of the former KOCE Admin building west of the Amphitheater. Construction vehicles will use the access road south of the Amphitheater to access the building and the two containers that will be placed at the Studio area behind the Theater. Please do not use this access road to enter or exit campus during the abatement process; use alternative routes and avoid this area. Construction vehicles will be using Parking Lot J, off of Gothard St. Noise level will be low to moderate for these activities. (See attached map [PDF] for work areas and construction vehicle routes)
