Construction Update for Week Beginning 8/15/22

Language Arts Complex - Measure M:
Construction activity continues this week with roof installation, interior door framing, and waterproofing of exterior drywall. Expect large deliveries this with trucks entering and exiting off of Goldenwest Street and moving through the barricaded area in Parking Lot C, accessing the construction site via the construction gate between the Math & Science bldg. and the LRC. Please mind flagmen and parking lot barricades, and avoid these areas. There is no parking within the barricades. Roads and walkways within any fenced off construction area are not accessible to pedestrian traffic; please use alternate routes to get around Campus. Exercise caution around construction vehicles and areas surrounding the construction site. Noise level will be moderate for these activities. (See attached map [PDF] for work areas and construction vehicle routes)

KOCE Demolition Project - Campus:
Demolition of the old KOCE building continues. The site is located between the Amphitheater and Fine Arts, and north of Forum 2, on the east side of campus. Construction vehicles will access the site from Parking Lot I off of Gothard Street and the access road between the Theater and the Amphitheater. Please mind flagmen if the access road is blocked and enter campus either north of the Amphitheater or south at the Theater or Criminal Justice Training Center. There is no public access inside the construction fence. Noise level will be moderate for this project. (See attached map [PDF] for work areas and construction vehicle routes)

Rec Ed Dance Room Roof Replacement - Campus:
Roof replacement on the Dance room in Rec Ed continues. Construction vehicles will access the site from the North entrance at M&O off McFadden Ave. Exercise caution around construction vehicles near the west end of the Rec Ed building.
