Welcome to Golden West College!

Located in the coastal community of Huntington Beach, Golden West College is regarded as one of the most beautiful campuses in Southern California. Golden West is part of the Coast Community College District, a multi-college district that includes Orange Coast College, and Coastline Community College.

The college is highly regarded for academic quality and innovation. In its earliest years, the college was recognized for its pioneering leadership in designing learning-centered programs and services for its student body and continues in that tradition to this day. The excellence of Golden West College’s athletic programs rivals the school’s academic reputation as one of the finest all-around programs in the State of California.

Huntington Beach Coast

…And Welcome to Surf City!

Better known as Surf City, Huntington Beach defines the quintessential lifestyle of California. The city is home to miles of beautiful beaches and offers the most authentic surf culture with a laid back but vibrant vibe. Surrounded by many well-known local attractions (Disneyland, Long Beach Aquarium, Orange County Performance Center, etc), being 35 miles (56 km) North to Hollywood and Los Angeles, and 95 miles (150 km) South to San Diego, Huntington Beach is at the heart of Orange County and has a lot to offer. Students at Golden West College come for its quality academic programs but stay to enjoy living in sunny and warm Southern California climate, becoming part of a welcoming and culturally diverse community, and exploring a dynamic college lifestyle.
