Swap Meet Vendors and Shoppers,
I wanted to take this opportunity to provide you with an update on the discussions related to the reopening of the Swap Meet at Golden West College. The Swap Meet team has been working diligently to develop protocols to reopen the Swap Meet as soon as we safely can. We have worked to develop spacing protocols, cleaning protocols, the possibility of having to fence off the vendor space to monitor the number of shoppers permissible, safety training for vendors and staff, and speaking with the Orange County Public Health Department to ensure we are in compliance. Unfortunately, with the movement from the red tier to the purple tier, these discussions have once again been put on hold. We had hopes that we would be able to open for the holidays, but that is not feasible at this time. We continue to monitor guidelines from Orange County Public Health and the Governor on reopening.
I want each of you to know that you are important partners of Golden West College and we are committed to reopening the Swap Meet as soon as we safely can without jeopardizing individual's health.
I know that these are difficult times, but please know that we value each of you and hope that you have a healthy and safe holiday.
Regards,
Janet Houlihan
