Golden West College is accepting applications for the following semesters

 Application Confirmation

After submitting your online application, you will receive a confirmation email from CCCApply immediately. (Sent to the email address you provided on your application.) A welcome email from Golden West College will arrive approximately 1-2 business days later. The welcome email will provide your student ID number, MyGWC login information, and instructions on what your next steps are.

Important email information

Please make sure that the email address you provide is correct so that you receive confirmation of your application and instructions as to what you need to do to complete the admissions process.

Please check your spam/trash folder if you don't receive an email response within 3-5 business days from the date of submission. 

If it has been more then the 3 business please email arinfo@gwc.cccd.edu. Include your full name, birth date, submission date, California Community College ID number and the confirmation number with subject: Application Status Inquiry

What Type of Student are You?

 

First-Time College Student

Attending high school or graduating this year? Is this your first time attending any college? 

 

Transfer Student

Have you attended another community college or university, but have never attended Golden West College?

 

Returning Student

Returning students (students who have had a break in their attendance from GWC of 1 year or more) will need to reapply for admission.

Follow the admission steps for NEW STUDENT found at Admissions - New Students.

 

Continuing Student

Continuing Students (those who are registered in classes for the current semester) do NOT need to reapply for admission.

Registration appointments can be viewed online at MyGWC a few weeks before registration begins.

After logging in, follow the steps below to view your appointment:

  1. Click on the Registration Tab.
  2. Under Registration Tools, click on "When can I Register?"
  3. If you have action items, those will have to cleared first.
  4. Select the appropriate term and click the submit button.
  5. You can view your appointment as well as any holds that may prevent you from registering.

Please note: Continuing, concurrently enrolled High School students who will be graduating from High School and wish to continue their education at Golden West College will need to reapply as a first time student. Continuing high school students will need to submit their permission forms each semester. Please go to Dual Enrollment Students for more information.

 

Are you a Special Admissions Student?

 

Concurrent Enrollment Student

Concurrent enrollment is for students who wish to attend Golden West College while being in grades 9-12. Concurrent enrollment students must submit an approved Special Part-time High School Release Form for 9th-12th Grade Students before registering for classes.

 

Dual Enrollment Student

Dual enrollment is for Huntington Beach Union High School District students. Dual enrollment students must must submit an approved Dual Enrollment Release Form for 9th-12th Grade Students before registering for classes.

 

International Student

You are an international student if you are from a foreign country and currently have, or will apply for, F-1 student visa status. If you plan to enroll full-time at GWC, visit the International Student Program page for application instructions.

 

Short-Term Student

Are you currently enrolled at another college and but need to take a class at GWC due to availability?

Non-Credit Student

Golden West College’s noncredit courses provide students with lifelong learning, college transfer, and career preparation opportunities.  Noncredit programs are English Language Learning, Citizenship Preparation, Automotive Technology, GED prep, and Senior Healthcare Technician.

 

Nursing Student

Please note that an additional application is required for this program. Please visit the School of Nursing website to obtain detailed information.
