Huntington Beach, Calif. — Golden West College hosted the graduation ceremony for the Huntington Beach Fire Department's Lifeguard Academy on July 13 in the College’s MPR, celebrating the accomplishments of the program's newest lifeguards. The event also recognized three lifeguards who were commended for their actions during a recent lifesaving rescue.
The ceremony marks an important milestone in Golden West College's partnership with the Huntington Beach Fire Department, as GWC recently certified the region's first lifeguard training program.
The collaboration expands educational opportunities for future lifeguards while strengthening the College's longstanding commitment to serving the community through partnerships with local public safety agencies.
